HamHub FAQ

What is HamHub Media Folder

HamHub now supports Aliyun Drive, Baidu Netdisk, 115 Netdisk, WebDAV, and SMB local network file access. Users can set their folders as "Media Folders" through long-press (menu) operation.

After setting as a "Media Folder", all your media files will be displayed on the home page poster wall. Your organized cloud drive files can be laid out in a beautiful poster wall format on the home page for easy management and quick access.

Why My File Path Is Not Recognized

As a newly launched video playback and management app, HamHub supports a wide range of video sources including Alist, various cloud drives like Aliyun Drive and Baidu Netdisk, and is compatible with media servers like Emby and Jellyfin. To improve HamHub's efficiency and accuracy in organizing and displaying your media library, users need to follow a set of detailed file naming conventions. These rules help HamHub more accurately auto-generate poster walls and fetch media information.

Basic File Naming Guide

First, we strongly recommend creating a separate folder for each movie or TV series, rather than mixing them together, which is not conducive to scraping.

For folder naming, we suggest using the format: Title(Year), with parentheses in half-width (English input mode).

  1. Movie Naming Rules:

    • Movie files should start with the complete title, optionally including both Chinese and English names, followed by the release year and important file information like resolution and encoding format.

    • Example: Interstellar(2014)/Interstellar.2014.720p.BluRay.x264.mp4

Note: The part before / is the folder name

  2. TV Series Naming Rules:

    • TV series files should first indicate the show name, followed by season and episode information in SXXEXX format, where XX represents season and episode numbers.

    • Example: Breaking Bad(2008)/Breaking.Bad.S01E01.2008.1080p.Netflix.WEB-DL.mkv

    • Or: Breaking Bad(2008)/Breaking.Bad.S01E01.mkv

Note: The part before / is the folder name

The most important part is the show name + S01E01, the rest doesn't matter much.

  3. Specials & Extras:

    • Specials and extras should start with the original show name, with season number set to 00, followed by episode number (EXX) and content type.

    • Example: Game of Thrones(2011)/Game.of.Thrones.S00E01.Behind.the.Scenes.720p.HBO.mkv

Note: The part before / is the folder name
